Vinita Pappas: “Painting the Feeling of a Place—A Watercolor Painting Demonstration”:
Don Gomes and Annie Holt Performing Arts Center
In her painting demonstration, Vinita will show how she simplifies a scene into essential shapes, values, and colors, while letting the watercolor do some of the work. She'll talk about finding the balance between having enough structure to guide a painting, and leaving room for spontaneity and intuition. Vinita is an award-winning watercolor artist who lives on the Oregon coast and paints primarily outdoors. Her work explores the feeling of a place through mood, harmonious color, and the expressive nature of watercolor.

Gallery Stroll: Main Street
The work of regional artists and local crafters will be featured at the Torrey Gallery, Gallery 24, and The Old House at Center & Main. Vinita’s work will be on display at Gallery 24.
