From Bluegrass to classical music learn how a fiddler uses classical techniques to achieve the carefree nature of Bluegrass playing
and how that might be similar and different from playing in an orchestra.

Conducting & Listening (6:00 pm - 6:30 pm):

Learn the basics of conducting with Associate Conductor of the Utah Symphony, Ben Manis. This interactive workshop takes you through
different conducting patterns and examples of music from the Utah Symphony concert that evening.

Musician Q&A (6:30 pm - 7:00 pm):

Take the opportunity to ask Utah Symphony musicians about the inner workings of an orchestra, the life of a musician, the art of orchestral performance,
or anything else you’re curious about
