Make plans to join artists as they paint
the stunning landscapes in and around
Wayne County. Come watch the artists
paint, attend two special presentations, and take a gallery stroll.
The final activity, the watercolor show and auction, will feature a Parisian Studio theme at Etta Place Cidery, located at 700 West Main Street (a driver’s license must be presented to enter the establishment).
This year’s music will be provided by local favorites Leah and Koko of Viola More; fun specialty cocktails, hors d’oeuvres, and an art-plate dessert-bar activity will be created by Etta Place Cidery. Artists will be on hand to design plates with you at the dessert bar and talk about their paintings.
Arts and the Park is presented by the Entrada Institute in partnership with the Utah Watercolor Society, Capitol Reef National Park, and Capitol Reef Natural History Association.
Thursday, October 10th, 7:00 p.m.—Colleen Reynolds: Robbers Roost Guest artist and past president of the Utah Watercolor Society, Colleen will be doing a painting demo of her iconic tree scene (also on Facebook Live).
Friday, October 11th, 5:00 p.m.–7:00 p.m.—Gallery Stroll: Main Street The work of both renowned and aspiring regional artists and local crafters will be on display at the Torrey Gallery, Gallery 24, and The Old House at Center and Main.
7:00 p.m.—Mary McConnell: Robbers Roost Entrada board member and educator, Mary will lead a panel discussion featuring Diena Riddle (fibers), Niles Hagemann (woods, oils), and Steve Jorgensen (watercolor, vinyl). This event will be live-streamed.
